Volkswagen will now offer a Premium package as an option on the 2014 Beetle coupe and convertible models. Starting in July, Beetles that are coupled with the 1.8-liter turbo engine or the 2.0-liter TDI engine will offer this package, in addition to options that were previously available on the R-Line cars.
Buyers of the Beetle coupe and convertible coupled with the 2.0-liter TDI engine can now order bi-xenon automatic headlights, gray door sills and mirror caps, R-Line bumpers with fog lights, 18-inch wheels finished in Galvano gray, Climatronic automatic climate control system, rain-sensing wipers, an auto dimming rearview mirror, unique seating surfaces with leather inserts, and the Fender Sound system all in one package. Buyers of the 2.0-liter will also receive the iPhone 5 cradle, which is new to the Beetle, in addition to seats with contrast stitching and three exterior colors: oryx white, platinum gray, and deep black.
The 2.0-liter version of the 2014 Beetle coupe with the Premium package will be priced at $30,175, while the Beetle convertible coupled with this engine and Premium package will be available at $33,575
Buyers of the 1.8-liter model will also be able to order all of the options above as a package, with the additional availability of a sport suspension and 19-inch wheels in white, instead of the 18-inchers. Both models will also have the RNS 510 voice-controlled navigation system and satellite radio.
The 1.8-liter version of the Beetle coupe coupled with the Premium package will be offered at $28,175, while the convertible version will be a bit more expensive at $31,575.
