Ford issued a price cut for the B-Max earlier this year amid rumours of poor European demand

If you’re in the market for a new car, or after the best new-car leasing deal, you can save thousands with a little research. This is the pick of what our deals experts have found this week.
Best new car deals
Ford already cut the price of its B-Max compact MPV earlier this year, and that means there are plenty of competitive offers around from dealers. We found a 1.6-litre model in Titanium trim and with Ford's Powershift transmission from Autoebid going for £15,381, a saving of £2279 from the list price.
Late last year Skoda decided to split the Yeti crossover into two distinct models, the urban-derived Yeti and the more off-road Yeti Outdoor, with this more rugged model getting new bumpers and a mild facelift. We spotted a 2.0-litre TDI CR 4x4 model in high-spec Elegance trim onBuyanewcaronline for £19,694, representing a substantial saving of £4271 from the list price.
Best new car leasing deals
The Volkswagen Passat comes second only to the mighty Ford Mondeo in our ranking of the top five family saloons. Square1 Leasing is currently offering a 2.0-litre TDI Bluemotion model in Tech S trim for £217 per month. That's on a four-year contract and with an initial payment of £495. There's also a 10,000-mile annual limit.
We've just waved goodbye to our own long-term Dacia Sandero, finding it to be an interesting - and cheap - daily runabout. We found an offer fromTarget Car Leasing, which gets you a 1.2-litre Access model for £110 per month. That's on a four-year contract, with an initial payment of £663 and with a 10,000-mile annual limit.
Deal of the week
As a facelifted version of Mercedes' CLS prepares to make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this month, prices on the old model are practically tumbling. We spotted a 350 AMG Sport Tip Auto model onDrive the Deal going for £42,253 - that's a huge saving of well over £11,000 from the list price.
