Four trim levels offered for US market
Lexus' all-new NX Crossover, the only crossover that looks like an aluminum can sent through a garbage disposal, now has a configurator to go with it. Lexus has yet to announce pricing on its first foray into the crossover segment, however one can reasonably expect it to compete directly with the BMW X1, Mercedes GLA and Audi Q3, all of which start in the mid- to upper-$30K range.
Lexus will offer four different trim levels: NX 200t (base) and NX 200t F Sport, both of which are powered by twin-scroll turbocharged 2.0-liter engines. Output for the turbo engines is said to be “over 200 hp.” The other two variants, the NX 300h and NX 300h F Sport, will both be hybrid models with Lexus' 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle engine. Both engines will be available with front- or all-wheel drive. All F Sport variants will feature more aggressive design cues, including a mesh predator mouth (er, grille), aluminum wheels and sport seats.
