SEAT dreams up Ibiza Cupster roadster concept

Open-top Ibiza celebrates three decades of Seat's baby of the range

The open-top version of
the SEAT Ibiza Cupra hot hatch has
a chopped-down windscreen and slim windows, with a
distinctly wedgy profile. It'll make its debut at the Worthersee tuning show in Germany.
The Cupster is a strict
two-seater, too, with the
Ibiza’s rear seats ditched for
a double buttress design topped with rollover hoops.
The model has been created to celebrate 30 years of Ibiza production, and it’s likely to use the same 1.4-litre turbo as the standard Cupra, good for 178bhp and driving the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Don’t expect to see a Cupster version on sale any time soon, though: like most of Worthersee's exhibits, this is purely a one-off example.
