Hyundai showed interior of its new AG luxury saloon at Korean motor show
Hyundai has shown off the exterior design of a new flagship premium saloon codenamed AG at the Busan motor show in South Korea. The front-wheel-drive saloon, which will go on sale in Korea in the second half of this year, adopts the manufacturer's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. At the show, Hyundai also displayed a revised version of its Grandeur saloon, which benefits from new and upgraded powertrain and tweaked exterior styling.
UK car production rose by 21.3 per cent in April compared to the same month in 2013. It is the biggest monthly rise in domestic car making since July 2012. A total of 133,437 vehicles were built in April, bringing the year-to-date total to 538,240. SMMT chief executive Mike Hawes said: "New model introductions are fuelling growth, while Europe – which currently accounts for around half of exports – is now seeing an upturn in demand".
London's Congestion Charge is to increase to £11.50, an increase of £1.50, from 16 June. The fee will be £10.50 for motorists who pay by direct debit using the CC Auto Pay scheme. Garrett Emmerson, Transport for London’s chief operating officer for surface transport, said: "These changes will ensure the Congestion Charge remains effective in managing congestion in central London. We have listened to our customers and are making a number of changes to make paying the Congestion Charge and applying for discounts easier and simpler."
Volkswagen has revealed a one-off Amarok concept equipped with a 5000-watt sound system. The Amarok Power also has space for a DJ's decks and the vehicle features metallic grey paint with micro-glass flakes to intensify the shine, 22-inch alloys and chrome-plated twin exhaust pipes. The vehicle has been created for the Wörthersee tuning festival in Austria.
