Spy shots reveal Fiat's small SUV undergoing testing ahead of going into full production in 2015 at Fiat's plant in Melfi, Italy

The 500X crossover is the latest entry into Fiat's 500 family
Development on the upcoming Fiat 500X crossover is speeding up ahead of an expected launch in 2015, bouyed byFiat's successful takeover of Chrysler.
The new Sedici replacement will be built at Fiat’s Melfi factory in Italy alongside its sister car, the recently revealed Jeep Renegade. The 500X will complete the 500 family line-up, sitting alongside the 500LMPV.
Hidden beneath the camouflaged bodywork are modified versions of the SCCS platform that underpins the Fiat Punto and Vauxhall Corsa. The Jeep's platform has been further tweaked to allow it to meet the crash requirements particular to the US market.
Engine options have yet to be confirmed but are likely to compriseFiat MultiJet diesel and TwinAir petrol engines.
Both the Fiat and the Jeep will play a vital part in Fiat Chrysler Automobile's plans to deliver on its "volume aspirations".
