Build this front-engine Porsche sports coupe, readers say

Poll results overwhelmingly favor construction of a new Porsche 928

This so-called Porsche 921 concept is just a rendering created by a skilled fan, but our readers would love to see it enter production.

Porsche is dead-set on building an X6-fighting sport-utility thing for some reason, but according to our readers, a front-engine sport coupe is what we really want to see rolling out of Stuttgart.
Recall that last week, we asked you if Porsche should build this fan-designed 921 "concept" spotted at flatsixes.com. According to our entirely non-scientific poll, Autoweek readers are overwhelmingly enthusiastic about the prospect of a neo-928. Or 924, depending on what sort of powerplant this fantasy car would pack.
With 221 votes cast:
-- 76 percent say the hypothetical 921 would be a worthy addition to the Porsche lineup.
-- Just 12 percent think Porsche should focus on its rear- and mid-engine cars.
-- 12 percent don't care either way, so long as Porsche keeps on building the 911.
Whether a hypothetical Porsche 921 would rival other Porsche offerings (like the Cayman), our readers want to see it -- or something like it -- become a reality.
What say you, Porsche?
