New personalisation options for McLaren's 207mph supercar revealed, including a carbonfibre rear diffuser and a unique paint finish
A host of official custom options for the new McLaren 650S have been revealed
McLaren Special Operations, the bespoke arm of the British supercar manufacturer, is demonstrating its range of personalisation options for the 650S with a tour of China.
The options, which can be applied to both the coupé and theconvertible, aim to optimise aerodynamic performance and to give the car a more dramatic appearance. The tour, which encompasses McLaren's four retail locations in China, is designed to showcase the bespoke service that MSO can offer customers.
McLaren's concept, which was exclusively previewed to prospective Chinese buyers, is finished in 'Agrigan Black' – a metallic black mixed with a red flake effect, which changes colour depending on your perspective.
Primary styling changes include a restyled rear bumper, inspired byMcLaren's GT3 car, a carbonfibre diffuser, a carbonfibre air brake and more aggressive carbonfibre side blades.
Both the MSO 650S Coupé Concept engine's covers and its lightweight alloy wheels are additionally finished in a satin-black colour.
Inside, there are fixed-back carbonfibre racing seats with carbon-black leather based on those fitted in the P1. These help seat the driver lower in the car, offer increased support to the lower and upper body, and save 15kg over the standard 650S seats.
Power remains unchanged, with the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 641bhp and 500lb ft. This grants the 650S the ability to sprint from 0-60mph in 3.0sec and reach a top speed of 207mph.
The optional carbonfibre diffuser and side blades, which cost £5114 and £7245 respectively, are available now for the new 650S and can also be fitted to the 12C.
